Privacy policy
Updated October 27, 2026
This policy describes how the macOS version of Neatlio handles information. Neatlio is provided by Beijing Fenghuo Yunchuang Technology Co., Ltd.
Files and folders
Neatlio reads file and folder information on your Mac to find and explain cleanup candidates. This includes names, paths, sizes, dates, file identities, and limited file contents needed to identify supported apps, build artifacts, caches, and installers. The app checks your selections again before moving files to Trash.
File scanning and analysis take place on your Mac. The current app does not upload your files, scan results, or cleanup history to a Neatlio server.
Local records and folder access
Preferences, ignore lists, folder authorization records, and processing history are stored locally in Neatlio's application data. Folder authorization uses macOS security-scoped bookmarks so the app can restore the access you granted. You can remove a folder authorization in Settings. Removing authorization does not restore files you previously moved to Trash.
Processing records may contain original paths, results, and confirmed Trash locations. These records are not a backup. Neatlio also keeps trial timing information in the local macOS Keychain; removing the app does not necessarily remove Keychain records or reset a trial.
System activity
Neatlio reads system and process information, such as CPU and memory use, process names, and network interface counters, for local display and to avoid processing files in use. This activity information is held in memory rather than uploaded as telemetry.
Purchases
Purchases and restoring purchases use Apple's App Store services and may require a network connection. Neatlio reads verified product and transaction information, including identifiers, dates, and revocation status, to determine access. Neatlio does not receive your payment card details or Apple Account password. Apple handles its services under its own privacy policy.
Accounts, advertising, and analytics
The app does not require a Neatlio account and does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. This statement describes the current app; it does not cover data Apple processes independently or information you choose to send to support.
Support and your choices
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, issue description, and attachments. Send only what is needed to investigate your request. Remove personal file paths and other sensitive details from screenshots or logs before sharing. Do not send Apple Account passwords, payment details, or verification codes.
For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent to support, contact developer@fenghuocloud.com. Locally stored app data remains on your Mac; macOS backups and Trash are controlled separately by you and the system.
Website access
When you visit these support pages, the hosting service may process your IP address and request information to deliver the pages and maintain service security. These Neatlio pages do not embed analytics scripts, advertising, external fonts, or an upload form.
The website saves your chosen language in a first-party cookie named neatlio_language for up to one year. It is used only to remember that preference. Without a saved choice, the website uses your browser language when you visit the homepage.
Changes
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change. The date above identifies this version.
